For the longest time, I assumed this was a spatial reasoning issue, like all the standardized tests sections they used to make me take over as a kid, due to my disproportionately low scores on only those sections.  But, finally I have realized it isn't just me that gets confused when I see any words painted on the road.  I never read what is there, I just end up wondering why they always writing in the opposite direction that I am traveling.  Today is a small victory for my feelings of societal belonging.
