Well this doesn't help...

The folks over at Wired have reported on a new study that pretty adamantly claims that those people who drink alcohol at a moderate or heavy level live longer than those that drink lightly or not at all.  I've long recited the wise words of Frenchman that explained to me why pregnant women in France are far from discouraged to drink during pregnancy, in fact, he told me, women are often encouraged to have a nightly glass of wine.  The reason for this?  The stress transferred from mother to baby is more harmful from the effects of a glass of wine.

Normally, I don't give too much to medical studies.  It seems just about anything can be determined to be good or bad, but in this case, the numbers are really difficult to pass up...like at 28% difference in mortality rates and number that we better for heavy drinkers than light or non-drinkers.  That settles it, just an excuse to have a few tonight.  To read the story, click here.
